I've put a few ebooks recently and most are sold through ClickBank. Since I've had nothing but good experiences as a buyer, I think when my own are ready to sell, I'll sell through them as well.
If you're looking for content to sell, you can sign up to resell ClickBank items as well. Browse through the selection of e-books and sign up as an affiliate reseller, like I did to sell The Super Affiliate Handbook and What Google Never Told You About Making Money with AdSense. Both of these books are excellent if you want to learn about making money online.
Before you sign up for any service like that, try out their process as a buyer so you can be sure your own web site visitors and customers won't be frustrated and turned off by the service.

I'm working on starting a couple of web-based businesses, including selling clothing and things. What steps do you suggest for getting things underway?
I'm also curious as to what solutions there are to hosting the websites. I'd like to host them myself eventually (which you may or may not know much about) but in the meantime, what do you use/suggest?
